A Quick Snack
You’d think after one million times of taking something out of the refrigerator, I’d be pretty good at it. I mean, think about how many times in my life I have gone in and out of the fridge. Maybe I am “pretty good”, but apparently I am not an expert, because today I had some issues. As usual, I was moving around in a rush, going from one thing to the next, to the next, and it was not helpful. After doing my workout, switching over and folding the laundry and sweeping the floor, I thought it was time for a break. I had been doing so many things I forgot I was pretty hungry. Unfortunately, when I went to grab my tub of Greek yogurt for a quick snack, it did not go very well.
As soon as I grabbed (or I guess, half-grabbed) the container, it was falling out of my hands. Luckily, I was also quick enough to catch it before it made its way onto the floor. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for some of the yogurt. Small clumps of white stuff were on the ledge of the fridge as well as on the floor. Great.
Who knows how many paper towels later, I had it mostly cleaned up. All but the yogurt that seeped into the extremely tiny space between planks of the hardwood floor. A combination of my nail, a paper towel and that tiny bottle cleaner hopefully got it all out.
They say sometimes we need to slow down. I wish I had done so right before taking the yogurt out of the fridge. But, if this is the worst part of my day, I’ll take it. I’ll just keep trying to hit “expert level” on using the refrigerator.
