Hey there amazing teacher and welcome to the blog!

Here I share my thoughts on all the things I believe writing instruction needs and how you can make it happen in your classroom.

I have spent many years learning about writing and the teaching of writing through my own teaching, attending a variety of professional development, reading many books on writing from various experts and mentors, and working alongside fabulous teachers like you!

Through it all, I have found that providing high-quality, effective writing instruction to students requires more than knowledge of the structure of mini-lessons or how to manage individual conferences. Teachers of writing must have an understanding of what writers truly need to be successful, and that is what I hope to share!

She is smiling and has her hands resting on her lap, with neatly manicured nails painted red and rings on her fingers. There is a vase with greenery and cotton stems on a wooden side table next to her.
